Everyone was gathered around at what they called birthday headquarters. They were all planning Lanie's surprise party. "All right ladies." "For years, Lanie has ran around like a crazy person making our birthdays perfect, yes?" Ally asked in a very drill sergeant manner.
"Yes." They all replied. "Alright, Kenna you distract her and give her the present. "OK, got it" She replied."Do you have it ready?" Ally asked Kenna. "Yup." She replied. "Good" Alright Rae's baking the cake, and Kanani and I are on decorations." "Operation Lanie's surprise party is a go." "Everyone move out!"
"Let's brainstorm some ideas for the decor." Kanani said.
"Hmmm...I've got an idea." Ally said after thinking for a second.
"We can put flowers up like streamers and I'll lay a blanket down, so it'll be like a garden picnic." Ally said her voice rising with excitement.
"That's a great idea!" Kanani replied.' But keep it down, we don't want her to hear."
"Oops." Ally whispered
And so they went out to the garden to set up. Kanani put the flowers in the trees. And Ally laid out the blanket.
Meanwhile...
"Hey Lanie." Kenna said. She had found her in her favorite spot just sitting.
" I got you something." Kenna told her handing her a white daffodil.
"Oh thank you!" Lanie exclaimed. "At least you didn't forget about my birthday..."
"Yea..."
"Thanks again." Lanie said.
Back at the garden...
"Alright, we're done, now we wait for Rae and then Kenna brings her here, we hide, yell surprise, and then celebrate." Ally said.
"Easier said than done, sis." Kanani replied.
In the kitchen Rae was working hard on the cake getting it just right. (Sorry that's a really bad cake)
"Alright. Done" Rae said to herself.
" I should probably bring it to Ally and Kanani now...
"I'm done." Rae announced setting the cake down and sitting beside Ally.
"Well, we should probably get going." Kenna told Lanie.
"Going?" Lanie asked puzzled.
"Yup, I've got something to show you at the garden." Kenna informed her.
"Umm, ok." Lanie replied a little reluctant.
They got to the garden and Kenna told Lanie to wait there, so Lanie did.
All alone again.
Kenna ran in to see her sisters just lounging around.
"Guys! She's coming!" Kenna yelled. "Hide!"
They scrambled to hide.
Can you find them?
"Kenna?" Lanie called walking into the garden.
"Surprise!" They all yelled jumping onto the blanket!
Lanie jumped then laughed.
She took a seat next to Ally and Kanani a huge grin on her face.
"The flowers are beautiful!" She gushed "And the blanket makes me feel like I'm at a picnic!" This cake is delicious and the flower was beautiful."
"And this was the best birthday ever!" She finished hugging her sisters.
